The Sand Club is excited to offer an AVP America Junior Beach Series with our New Power Pool format in 2021 at Mesquite Beach.

What are Power Pools? The top 8-10 ranked teams will play each other right away for pool play and the remaining teams playing in "Qualifier Pools" and a "work-up" bracket. Rankings will be based on AVP results in the last 365 days. The main goal is for competitive and intermediate teams to play similar skill level early in the tournament.

Teams will play single games to 21, win by 2, no cap, switching every 7 points. Each team receives one 60-second timeout but no technical timeouts. All teams will advance to the playoffs.

Pools C-F will play 2 "Qualifier" playoff games, working up to Power Pool A&B teams finishing 3rd and 4th. Power Pool A&B teams finishing 1st and 2nd will advance to the Quarterfinals. All playoff games are single games to 21, win by 2, no cap, switching every 7 points. Each team receives one 60-second timeout but no technical timeouts. Both losing teams of semifinals will earn Bronze (3rd place) and a bid AS WELL AS responsible for working the Finals.
