IMPORTANT!    Hotel & tournament are coordinating on additional safety precautions for these events:

• contactless check-in, pool play scoring & brackets - via BeachBums.BracketPal.com - works on any smart phone!
• COVID-19 pre-screening for all players + guests
• all hotel employees that are immediately in contact with guests will be wearing mask & gloves
• medical tent onsite
  
• no 4's divisions offered (only 2's)
• max 4-5 teams per court  
• hotel guests & players to practice social distancing guidelines set by CDC
  
• players requested to forego side change / game ending hand shakes
  
• sanitizing stations abundantly distributed throughout hotel / venue.
• ball sanitizing stations to be used between games

           note: additional courts being set up specifically for MO/WO use as well

9am / Men's & Women's AA ($70/team) / check-in 8:15-8:45am
10am / Men’s & Women’s A, BB, B ($70/team) / check-in 9:15-9:45am

Sunday:
9am / AVPA Juniors 1-Star / check-in 8am  
10am / Coed 2's AA-Open ($70/team) / check-in 9:15am
11am / Coed 2's A, BB, B ($70/team) / check-in 10:15am

OPEN RULES:
All teams will be required to ref other games throughout day.
Every minute late = +1 point for the opponent.
This same penalty applies to late refs.
This will only work if refs cooperate and are on time.
We have to be strict with this.
This policy will remain throughout the tournament.
Double elimination. Switch sides every 7 points.
Match play: two (2) games to 21, then third to 15 (if needed)
Guaranteed two (2) matches then remainder of consolation bracket is one (1) game to 28

AA/A/BB/B RULES:
Call your own games.
Games are to 21, cap at 25, switch sides every 7 points.
3 games pool play per team guaranteed.

START TIMES:
First game of the session:
10 min grace, then -4 points, then 5 min after is forfeit. (15 min total)
Every game following:
5 min grace, then -4 points, then 5 min after is forfeit (10 min total)

AVP America membership is required for all players. Memberships are $20 online. All memberships run for 365 days from the day of purchase. Members can login using their member ID number and password to see if membership is active or inactive. All membership fees are used for the $79,000 AVP America Grand Prix systems, a National Ranking System, Regional Championships, the end of season National Championship and event liability insurance.
