Labor Day Grass Bowl Camping, Players Party, Food Included Men’s Trips/Women’s 4s/Reverse Coed 4s Saturday August 31st Men’s Regular Triples and Women’s 4s We will follow standard USAV outdoor rules, with the following exceptions/highlights. * A Net is a Net - If you contact any portion of the net during play, it is a fault. * Finger Action Over Net - No finger action over the net. * Block does not count as a Touch - Block does not count as a touch in any division. * Double Contact on Receive - Double is legal on receive as long as there is no finger action. * Hard Driven Ball - Finger action (beach dig) allowed for first contact on a hard-driven ball. Hard-driven defined as a ball you don’t have time to think about. * Court Boundary - Entering any adjacent court that is scheduled for competition during play is a fault. * No Centerline Violations - If a player goes under the net during play, it is not a fault, unless it interferes with the other team's ability to play the ball. * Antennae – The standards (poles) are the antennae. If the ball touches or passes over the poles, it is out. * Game Delay Forfeiture - Any delay longer than 5 minutes creates a forfeiture of the current set, including those caused by injury. TD has discretion to extend injury time-outs. Pool Play, Upper and Lower Bracket Tournament for both women and men’s Divisions: Men’s Triples $1500.00 Women’s 4s $1500.00 Sunday, August 1st Reverse Coed 4s Cash Payout $1000 This format consists of two guys and two girls per team. The net is set to womens height and men cannot block or attack in front of the 3 meter (10 foot) line. We will follow standard USAV rules, with the following exceptions/highlights: * Back Row Attack – If the last team contact is by a male, the player's last court contact must be behind the 3m line or a portion of the ball must be below the height of the net when the ball is contacted, otherwise it is a fault. * No Guy or Girl Rule - Any combination of players may contact the ball. * A Net is a Net - If you contact any portion of the net during play, it is a fault. * Finger Action Over Net - No finger action over the net * Block as a Touch - Block does not count as a touch in all divisions. * Court Boundary - Entering any adjacent court that is scheduled for competition during play is a fault. * Centerline Violations - If a player goes under the net during play, it’s legal as long as it does not interfere with the play. * No Rotation – Teams only need to keep a consistent serving order. * Game Delay Forfeiture - Any delay longer than 5 minutes creates a forfeiture of the current set, including those caused by injury. TD has discretion to extend injury time-outs.
