ENTRY INFO:
Individual entry fee $25 per player –same entry fee for all divisions
Registration closes at 11:00 PM on Thursday May 16th. The first 8 players signed up in each division are guaranteed a spot, but additional players may be accepted once all entries are received. please do not sign up if you are not serious just to hold a spot.
Must select NO PARTNER AT THIS TIME in order to complete registration
No online payment – fees must be paid upon check-in
If any player arrives after check-in they are not guaranteed a spot in event
PRIZES:
1St, 2nd& 3rd Place will receive BBVA Prize points that can be redeemed for merchandise (volleyballs, sunglasses, sand socks, etc.)
FORMAT:
In this KOB format, you sign up as in individual player and are randomly assigned to a pool of players (typically 8). You will play one game to 21 (no cap win by 2) with each person in your pool with the goal of getting the most wins. The top 4 players from initial pool play will be combined in a championship pool and play one game with each finalist. The KOB/QOB will be the person with the best record from the championship pool.
Important:
Due the the total number of games in this format expect initial pool play to go to 4PM with the Championship going to 6 PM. Just another day at the beach!
Also since other players are somewhat relying on you to play decent you should have some experience with beach doubles and the stamina to play the required number of games.
If BBVA has to cancel the tournament due to adverse weather, all registered players will be notified via e-mail. If you don't get an e-mail then the tournament is on and it is your responsibility/courtesy to notify BBVA if you chose not to play.
Wilson AVP balls must be used for games.
Divisions may be combined based on total player registration. Players will be notified prior to event.
BBVA prize points can not be used in conjunction with other organizations and are non-transferable. BBVA prize points can accumulate from other BBVA events and be redeemed at a later date with no expiration.
Walk-ins are not allowed for this event due to the specific numbers of players needed. If you miss the registration deadline you can e-mail BBVA203@gmail.comto be added to the waiting list.
If a registered player doesn't plan to play they should notify BBVA as soon as possible at BBVA203@gmail.com (because it is the right thing to do) Any no shows may be prohibited from participating in future events.
