AVPA BID TOURNAMENT

Divisions: Girls 18 & Under; Girls 16 & Under; Girls 14 & Under; Girls 12 & Under;

City park with 6 lighted/gated sand volleyball courts - along with other sports fields. The volleyball area does have plenty of paved parking, restrooms, 2 outdoor showers by the courts. Parents can bring coolers, tents (do not stake down tents in the grass due to sprinklers, city park rule) etc.

Online Registration is not available for this event.

EVENT: AVPA BID TOURNAMENT

GCVA Beach will be hosting an AVPA BID TOURNAMENT with bids to the AVPA NATIONALS are JULY 5 & 9 2023 IN Hermosa Beach, CA.

Each Division will need a minimum of 5 teams to earn bids. AVPA Bids are only given to 1st and 2nd for 1 star events.

TOURNAMENT INFO:

Check in: 7:00am - 7:50am (online check-in available)

Player Meeting: 7:50am

Play Starts:8:00am

*times are subject to change based on amount of teams*

Bids awarded to 1st and 2nd place only, no trickle down bids for AVPA tournaments.

AVPA memberships are required for this event.

For this event you will need at least a AVPA SILVER MEMBERSHIP.

If you are plaining on going to 2023 AVPA JUNIOR NATIONALS or playing in a AVPA 4 Star Event you will need a GOLD AVPA membership

AVPA AGE REQUIREMENTS:

AVP’s 2023 age requirements for junior competitions are as follows:

18U: Athletes graduating high school in 2023 or later.
16U: Athletes graduating high school in 2025 or later.
14U: Athletes graduating high school in 2027 or later.
12U: Athletes graduating high school in 2029 or later.

Please note that these age groups change on August 1, 2023.

LEAGUE CITY PARK RULES:

Tents, umbrellas & coolers are allowed at the facility. Tents must be put up outside the fenced in area and CANNOT be staked down due to irrigation lines running underground. Use another method to secure your tents; sand bags, blocks, or weights.

NO glass containers allowed at the facility.

Pets must be on a leash, there is a city fine for pets not on leash and the League City Police are routinely stationed at the park.

Please park in the parking lot, they will sometimes tow cars that park in the grass.

SPORTSPLEX:

6 lighted/fenced in sand volleyball courts.

2 outdoor showers right by the courts.

Restrooms & pavilion by the courts.

Bleachers on the sand inside fenced in area.

Directions:

I45 South North Bound Feeder. Courts are off I45 and Hwy 96. You can get to the park off the feeder (main entrance) or Hwy 96 (courts are here) or a 3rd entrance at West Walker which is right beside the courts.
