Pool play with Single Elimination Tournament:

This format in which teams are divided into pools and play a round-robin Single Set within their pool against the other teams in their pool, and the results of these matches determine the teams' rankings within the pool. These rankings are then used for a to seed the teams into a Single Elimination tournament. All Teams Make The Playoffs!

Welcome to the 18u Challenge VOLLIS Tour! This tour is to attract the best of the best 18U players form across the country to compete in an all day Match play event. The players will be playing a Modified Pool Play w/ Double Elimination Match Play (Olympic Crossover) This tour is worth the travel and should be a main stop on your schedule this year! See you on the sand!

Modified Pool Play Format Description:

How to Qualify: 

• This is a bid only event for girls 12U, 13U, 14U, 15U, 16U and 18U
• Play in one of our BVNE BID Qualifiers.
• ONLY ONE PARTNER IS REQUIRED TO HAVE WON A BID.  
• BID WINNERS CAN PLAY WITH A PARTNER OF THEIR CHOICE.
• All players must have a BVNE membership.
• This is a BVNE “Play Your Age” Event. This means you to play in any division, you must be that age on every day fo the event. An athlete can always move up but never move down in BNVE.
• 4 teams or less 1st Place bid winner only
• 5 teams or less 1st & 2nd earn bids
• 6 teams or less playoff for 3rd and 1st - 3rd earn bids
• 6 teams or more 1st - Tied for 3rd
• Trickle -Down Bids to 5th Place (This happens if a player has already earned a bid then the bid will move down to the next place team that doesn't have a bid)

AVP AMERICA BIDS

Bid Earning Window: 

Awarded to Girls 18U, 16U, 14U, 12U & Boys 18U, 16U, 14U

• Nationals - December 1, 2022 - June 25, 2023 (This event has limited space and will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Bids do not guarantee a spot in the tournament)
• West Coast Championships - July 1, 2023 - November 5, 2023 (This event has limited space and will be based on a first come, first serve basis. Bids do not guarantee a spot in the tournament)
• East Coast Championships - July 1, 2023 - November 19, 2023

How to Earn a Bid:

• This is an AVP America Junior National Qualifier events.
• This is a 1-Star events award bids to 1st & 2nd place teams as long as there are at least 5 teams in the division.
• No trickle-down bids
• Bid winners can play with any partner of their choice. They do not need to play with the partner they won their bid with.
• Only one partner per team is required to have earned a bid.
• Bids are not age specific. If you age out of your current age division, your bid is still valid if you're moving up to an older age division.
• Players will be required to compete in their respective divisions at the time of the event (see Junior Age Requirements, which will update on 9/1/2023).

Coaches:

Make sure you have completed all the requirements in order to coach at this event:

• Background Screening must be completed and cleared one week prior to event start date.  
• Active SILVER AVP Membership
• AVP America Coaching Pass to be completed one week prior to event start date. Pass is valid for one calendar year (1/1 - 12/31)
• Coaches MUST check-in with AVP Staff at event to receive coaching credentials for the event
• Make sure you know the Coaching Rules that were included in the AVP America Coaching Pass.

Rules:

-One time out per team.

All reffing teams are responsible for keeping live score on Volleyball Life.

-Standard USAV rules.

-more specific details will be discuss during team meeting before the tournament.

Coaching:

-Coaches must Check in with proper credentials before the tournament starts. 

-Walk and Talk Coaching Allowed.

If you are sick, have come in contact with someone has been sick, or tested positive for Covid-19, please contact us at dorsey@vollisbeach.com a full refund. No refund request will be honored after we set pools.
