Divisions: Boys 18 & Under; Boys 14 & Under; Boys 12 & Under; Girls 18 & Under; Girls 16 & Under; Girls 14 & Under; Girls 13 & Under; Girls 12 & Under Advanced;

We are at Huntington State Beach at Brookhurst Street, which is the last street south before the jetty into Newport Beach. Plenty of courts and space. Bonfire pits, bathrooms and picnic areas are also nearby

Check-in and start time:

8am-8:30am check in. First serve by 9am

Points:

Youth Divisions: Divisions with at least 4 teams accrue AVP points to count towards all major AVP events.

Bid Requirements: same as 2021

Bids can be awarded in a division as long as there are at least 5 teams in the division. 1st and 2nd place team will win bids

The boys' bids will remain the same as last year. You can refer to the 2021 Junior Program Guide for those details until the 2023 guide is released

K/QOB events do not count as qualifying events

Bid Window: Athletes can earn a bid to the upcoming 2023 Summer events . Overlapping dates award dual bids

Format

Pool play
3 and 4 team Pools - Games to 28
5+ Team Pools - Games to 21
Play Offs
Top teams will advanced to single-elimination playoffs. Prizes and medals awarded to top finishers
Match play or one game depending on time and playoff size

Prizes

Youth Divisions: Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place all divisions with 4 or more teams. More prizes TBD depending on sponsor involvement.

Parking

Onsite parking is usually $15 a day at the State Beach. We sell Huntington State Beach year passes for $40. Call text 5623707575 for more info.

Weather Issues

Event will only be cancelled in the unlikely event of heavy rain, wind, and day-long unplayable conditions. We will email throughout the week with weather info if needed, and the event may be altered to run more quickly if afternoon rain is imminent. If there is a window of playable weather on event day, we'll run during that window by altering start time.

Refund Policy

Drops Due to Covid exposure—
If a team is cancelling due to Covid exposure/illness for players and/or staff on their team, this drop usually occurs at the last moment and cannot be avoided. Please consider the fact that the event has had to rent courts, establish staff and officials, and format for original entries and then last minute reformatting for these last minute drops. Due to these facts, the refund or credit towards any team dropping for Covid reasons, will be processed minus a $35 non-refundable deposit. Also, no processing fee of any credit card transaction will be refunded
Tournaments Cancellations
If a drop occurs prior to a 2 weeks of the event, a refund will be issued minus a $20 non-refundable deposit
if a drop occurs within 2 weeks of the event, no refund will be issued
no processing fee of any credit card transaction will be refunded

Beach Elite tournaments have a great reputation of being fun and competitive. We always have clean music playing and a friendly tournament staff to assist.
