I am proud to be able to bring back the 2nd Annual V.G. Volleyball Classic. This specific tournament weekend was is officially renamed in Vas Ghelans honor and will be that way every year for our June tournament. He was a dear friend to a lot of us and as a community wanted to memorialize him and his love for the game. He touched so many of our lives all over the country in the volleyball world and I wanted their to be a way so that we could bring this amazing community together.
This is a fun 2 day event! Same Sex Triples on Saturday, followed by Co Ed Doubles on Sunday! Last year we had over 300+ people for the weekend So get signed up and enjoy a fun filled memorable weekend of fun, fellowship, and volleyball!
We will be working with 3 overall divisions BB, A, and AA/Open. With a capped number of nets this format will enable us to have big enough divisions to make for a fun, competitive tournament.
Format/Divisions:
Saturday: Same Sex Triples
Sunday: Coed Grass Doubles
AA/Open, A, & BB Divisions
*We will not be offering Juniors divisions for this tourney
The tournament will consist of pool play in the morning followed by seeded bracket play in the afternoon Top 3 teams from each pool will advance to playoffs!
Cash prizes will be awarded to the Winners of ALL DIVISIONS!
No sandbagging! We will be actively watching registrations to ensure this is not an issue. Ultra Instinct expectations is that you should be playing to the level of your best player. Also, as we get closer to the tournament, we will be closing divisions to help manage pool sizes, so please register early to ensure to claim your spot.

Official Tournament Ball:
The official ball for this Ultra Instinct tournament will be the Wilson Optix ball. The official ball for playoffs will be the Optix ball, unless all playoff teams in that division unanimously vote for another ball to be used throughout playoffs for that specific division.
Food:
We will not be offering food as part of the registration fee. However, we WILL have a food truck/trucks so you can purchase food as your heart desires or just to get something cold to cool off! We will have cold ice water available but Please plan accordingly and bring plenty of fluids to hydrate on your own as well!
We will send out a player's email to all registered players on Friday before the tournament with all the details you need for a fun day on the courts.
8:00am- Player Check-In Opens
8:45am- Players Meeting
9:15am Play starts for all divisions
COVID Considerations:
- Ultra Instinct encourages the wearing of masks, but they are not required.
- We will highly encourage all players to avoid unnecessary personal contact, including high fives, chest bumps, butt slaps, or whatever celebratory move we don't even know about yet.
