Ultra Instinct Same Sex Doubles
Bringing you another tournament banger!! Time to suit up for some Same Sex Doubles!
We will be working with 3 overall divisions B/BB, A, and AA/Open. With a capped number of nets this format will enable us to have big enough divisions to make for a fun, competitive tournament.
Format/Divisions:
Same Sex Grass Doubles
Upper and Lower Divisions
*We will not be offering Juniors divisions for this tourney
The tournament will consist of pool play in the morning followed by seeded single elimination bracket play in the afternoon!
Cash prizes will be awarded to the winners of ALL DIVISIONS!!!
No sandbagging! We will be actively watching registrations to ensure this is not an issue. Ultra Instinct expectations is that you should be playing to the level of your best player. Also, as we get closer to the tournament, we will be closing divisions to help manage pool sizes, so please register early to ensure to claim your spot.
Registration Fees:
$40 Per Player ($80 Per Team)
*Price increases to $45 per player ($90 per team) starting at midnight on Thursday April 14th 2022
Official Tournament Ball:
The official ball for this Ultra Instinct tournament will be the Wilson Optix ball. However, we know some players still play with the Spalding KOB ball. Teams can agree to play with whatever ball they choose, but if you cannot agree then the Wilson Optix will be the default. The official ball for playoffs will be the Optix ball, unless all playoff teams in that division unanimously vote for another ball to be used throughout playoffs for that specific division.
Food:
We will not be offering food as part of the registration fee. Players are responsible for their own food throughout the day. We will provide water at check-in as part of your registration fee. Please plan accordingly and bring plenty of fluids to hydrate.
We will send out a player's email to all registered players on Friday before the tournament with all the details you need for a fun day on the courts.
8:00am - Player Check-In Opens
8:30am - Players Meeting
9:00 - Play starts for all divisions
COVID Considerations:
- Ultra Instinct encourages the wearing of masks, but they are not required.
- We will highly encourage all players to avoid unnecessary personal contact, including high fives, chest bumps, butt slaps, or whatever celebratory move we don't even know about yet.
