Details:

  • This tournament is for EEVB league players only from any division at any league site, that is on a submitted league roster.
  • You can play with any other player from any EEVB summer league.
  • 2 players/team, no subs.
  • Come out and test your skills against other players from around EEVB's league programs throughout LI!
  • Multiple divisions/levels mean there is a place for everyone to compete.
  • We will host one of these events each month. Next events: July 9 & Aug 6

Saturday:

  • All Divisions: check-in 9 am, play starts at 9:30 am
Divisions

Saturday: Men's AA, A & B, Women's AA, A, & B

  • AA: Highest level at this event, for skilled players
  • A: Intermediate level
  • B: Novice: new to doubles tournaments
FormatPool play, followed by single elimination playoffs
Entry Fee
All Divisions: 
  • Early Bird: $40/team if paid by Tuesday at 8  pm
  • Regular Fee: $60/team if paid by Friday at 6 pm

 $10 late fee for teams paying after 6 pm Friday

REFUNDS: All refunds will be subjected to a transaction fee that covers the costs we are charged for each amount processed by the credit card processing charge. Please note that on a refund they charge both ways, paying the fee and then charging back the refund. NO REFUNDS after Thursday Midnight.

All Divisions: Merchandise prizes for 1st - 3rd place teams
Parking

Free parking at the lot on W Broadway between Lafayette and Laurelton, free parking on streets as well

Weather PolicyEEVB errs on the side of playing.  We will only cancel for heavy, (or forecasted) extended periods  of rain and/or thunderstorms. If an event is delayed or canceled, emails will be sent to all participants in addition to posts on our social media pages. Follow us so you don't miss any announcements! 
What should I bring?
  • Volleyball: We do not provide game or practice balls (preferably Wilson)
  • Tent/Shade: We do not provide or rent tents. You can rent umbrellas and chairs from Beach Comfort
  • Food: There are many great local restaurants in Long Beach to order or pick up from, including food trucks located on Riverside Blvd between Broadway and the boardwalk
  • Water/Water Bottle: We will try to have a water refill station most days, but bring plenty of water, especially on hot days

AVP Membership

Silver Membership required for all players. Memberships are $25/year.

All memberships run for a year from the time of purchase. Members can log in using their ID number and password to see if membership is active or expired.

Beach Passes

Everyone, ages 13 & up, is required to have a beach pass in order to access the beach.

Passes can now be purchased online and accessed through your smartphone

Day Pass

  • Regular day passes can be purchased for $15 at any beach access ramp.
  • Passes can be obtained for $10/pass through EEVB if reserved by Thursday at 12 pm.
  • To reserve a pass, email Mary Caulson: mary.eevb@gmail.com.  Include your name and # of passes needed.

Directions:
From Long Island: Southern State Pkwy to Meadowbrook Pkwy south to Loop Pkwy. Right at end onto Lido Blvd (changes to Park Ave) Left at Laurelton Blvd to ocean, free parking. From Verrazano Bridge: Take Belt Parkway (Shore Pkwy) east towards Eastern LI and JFK airport. Near airport get off at Nassau Expressway (Rte 878) exit. Take Nassau Expressway, which becomes Rockaway Blvd (Follow signs for Long Beach or Atlantic Beach Bridge) to Rte 878. Go over Atlantic Beach Bridge and make left onto Park St/Beech St. Go through commercial section and make right on New York Ave. Make left on Broadway. Go 1.5 miles to Laurelton Blvd. Make right to event site at boardwalk. By Train: LIRR to Long Beach. Leaving the station go across Park Ave. right, make left on Laurelton Blvd. and walk south towards Ocean. Enter beach at Laurelton Blvd. from the boardwalk.
