Hyden Beach will be hosting the 2022 Hyden Beach Bash M/W Doubles Event Series beginning on May 28th!

What is the Hyden Beach Bash Series? A chance for players to make some extra cash!

Players will compete over the course of four tournaments from May through September 2022 to rack up as many points as possible in their division. At the end of the series, the top three players (not teams) from each division will win cash!

2nd place - $200
3rd place - $100

A M/W
1st place - $300
2nd place - $200
3rd place - $100

BB/B M/W
1st place - $300 
2nd place - $200
3rd place - $100

Total: $3,600

*Points will be accumulated using AVPA points. If there is a tie between top players, the money will be divided equally. If there is a tie for 3rd, the money will be split. At least 4 teams in each division per tournament to win points and each division must have enough teams to run at least three out of the four series weekend tournaments in order to receive cash at the end. 
Players can change partners but it is recommended to stay within the same division. If multiple divisions played throughout the series, players will be scored in the highest division played.

**Hyden Beach has the right to change a player's divisions based on previous tournament results and skill level before the first tournament played - NO SANDBAGGING. This series is NOT for Open Level players. Based on demand, divisions could play in waves or across Saturday/Sunday.

Check in will begin on Saturday, May 28th 8:30am. Player's meeting at 8:45am. Balls in the air promptly at 9:00am.  ^Merch and other prizes available for top 4 teams in each division.

^Based on at least 6 teams in each division. Top two teams are awarded prizes if less than 6 teams.

We will not allow walk-up registrations. Sign-ups are open until Friday afternoon, May 27th at 3:00pm. You must pay in advance to secure your spot. **If a division is full, add yourself to the waitlist and we will try to reformat to ensure we have enough room for you to play!

AVPAmerica membership required. We must have 4+ teams in each division to run division.

**Format: 2 sets/game in pool play (based on number of total teams) and then single elimination bracket play.  
^If not enough teams in each division (4), divisions may be combined.

Hyden Beach wants to provide the upmost service to our players and guests. To do this, we ask that you please arrive on time for registration so the first games can promptly begin on time. Anyone who is late to start the first match, will receive point deductions.  

If you are feeling sick or ill, please do not come to the tournament and contact info@hydenbeach.com immediately.

Tournaments will follow USAV Beach Volleyball Rules.

Tournaments Cancellation Policy: Team cancellations that occur from the time registration is first paid online through the Sunday prior to the event (ending at 11:59pm on Sunday) will be refunded 100% of the registration fee. Team cancellations received via email on or after the Monday (beginning at 12:00AM) prior to the event through two days before the event will receive a full refund minus the processing fees ($3.50) (e.g. cancel before midnight on Thursday before the said tournament that is held on a Saturday). Teams that cancel the day before or the day of the tournament (Friday beginning at 12:00AM or Saturday of said tournament on Saturday) will forfeit their entire registration payment. Exception to policy is when there are not enough teams in the registered division to field a complete pool. If this occurs, teams in the division that do not make a complete pool will be offered a refund. Any questions on this policy or its application should be addressed to info@hydenbeach.com.


Inclement weather policy:

  • If cancellation occurs before the first game begins, a full refund for all teams present will be provided.
  • If cancellation occurs at any point during pool play, no refund will be offered.
  • If cancellation occurs during playoffs in divisions where there are cash payouts, those total cash payouts will be split evenly between the active teams at that time point in the tournament.
Tournament cancellations can occur when there is significant inclement weather (lightning) that will last greater than two hours and/or heavy rainfall lasting longer than two hours. This call is at the discretion of the tournament director. 
The Tournament Director has the discretion to temporarily suspend all play as well as clear the courts for any reason they deem appropriate.
